FAQ

Nope! Although we encourage you to buy a membership if you think you will use the facility
often, you can always simply rent either lane of the facility for $40/hour/lane, with a maximum
allowable occupancy of  four people per lane. Just go to the booking page, follow the
prompts,and book any open time slot for any day (up to 7 days in advance).

On the membership page, choose from the 3 membership options, then simply fill out and submit
the form, and then e-transfer the money to this email address: thebandbox2023@gmail.com. You
will be sent a member number that you will use when you book time slots to use the facility.

Yes! If there are open time slots available to book on the website, and as long as a member has
not used up their weekly 3 hours allotted to them, they can book any slot.

This is to ensure that all members have the opportunity to use the facility. If you want to book
more time each week, you will have to book lanes as a non-member for $40/hour.

Monday to Friday 10am-10pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am-9pm

Also note that sometimes GPS will try to take you down gravel roads to get here, so here is the
best advice depending on which direction you are coming from:
From Chatham: Communication road to Pinehurst line, then south on Harwich road 
From Blenheim: Allison line or Front line to Harwich, then go north on Harwich
From 401 Westbound: Exit 101 (Kent road 15 – signs for Dresden) and go NORTH to McKay’s
Corners, then left on Pinehurst line to Harwich road, then Harwich road south
From 401 Eastbound: Exit 90 (Communication Road – signs for Chatham) and go SOUTH to
Pinehurst line, make a right, and continue to Harwich road, then Harwich road south

We only allow online booking for liability and safety reasons. We need to know who is using the
facility at all times in case there is an incident.

At this time we are only accepting e-transfers sent to thebandbox2023@gmail.com. If you are
representing a team and need to pay for your facility rental with an alternate form of payment,
please contact Katy at 519-355-5289 or thebandbox2023@gmail.com.

Things we supply:
We supply pitching machines and specific balls for each machine, pitching mound, power line
pitching mats, batting helmets and tees, and bases/home plates.
Things we don’t supply:
Clean running shoes, baseball gloves, batting gloves, bats. Okay, we have some bats, but they’re
not great, so we encourage you to bring your own.

According to Google it is ‘a cardboard box, typically circular, for carrying hats’, but in baseball
parlance it is a ‘small baseball stadium where home runs seem to be hit more often than would
be expected.’
